International Language Certifications
The international certification for the Italian language, CILS from the Università per Stranieri di Siena and CELI from the Università per Stranieri di Perugia allow you to formalise your linguistic studies with the aim of working or studying in Italy and they are recognised worldwide.

Level B1 and Italian Citizenship
According to the law n. 132 as of December 1, 2018 requires a language certificate level B1 or higher of CEFR (Common European Framework of Reference) to apply for Italian Citizenship.
The official certifications are:

CELI by Università per Stranieri di Perugia (CELI 2 level B1).

CILS by Università per Stranieri di Siena (B1 citizenship or traditional).

PLIDA by Società Dante Alighieri di Roma (PLIDA B1).
In Padova, it is possible to attend all three exams on different dates and places. They usually provide 2-4 exam sessions per year but we recommend to check schedules and applications on their own website or contact Oltre Lingua.
